Remeron Scary Dreams, Binge, Chronic Pain, Effexor, Nightmares

I took Remeron for many years (maybe like 10 yrs.) At first it helped with my chronic pain; within the last few years, the pain got worse all over my body so I stopped it on my own. I live with auto-immune chronic pain). I fell into a deep depression after stopping Remeron, but increased my Effexor a bit so I am mentally feeling better. When I first went off of it, I had severe insomnia and would be up all hight; it was awful. This went on for over a month; I am now finally sleeping again, no nightmares!! . I was having constant vivid and scary dreams all the time. My body would wake up stiff & I felt scared from the dreams; I would remember them in detail the next day. I also constantly craved sweets and would binge eat at night. It was ridiculous and yet I couldn't stop.
I am now itchy and prickly all over; I guess it will pass soon but after being on the Remeron for so many years; I have to be patient and hope the side effects will pass soon. It is making me very cranky and irritable.
They should take this drug OFF the market. Try something else. It's no good!!
