my 10 year old daughter started taking singulair just 2 months ago . her asthma was under control. however she just didn't seem to be herself. last thursday during a basketball game her right arm started shaking uncontrollably we now know this to be a petit mal seizure. on sunday she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance after we found her on the floor convulsing and foaming at the mouth. a seizure, we were horrified. has anyone else had seizures while on singulair!!!!????
Gam91 - YES! same story here! Please update your story I pray your daughter is doing better. Has she had anymore since those episodes?? We took our child off after the 1st seizure but I am terrified there will be lasting effects. I was so scared about that seizure and it was the most awful thing I have seen! Please report this to the FDA they need to know this side effect is not a rare side effect like Merck claims...there are more and more kids having this happen.
