Hydochlorithiazide

I take hydochlorithiazide and was prescribed Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim DS for a sinus infection and now my blood pressure is dangerously high...........i am stopping the Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim DS for a day to see if things change. do the 2 meds work against each other? I also am getting a blister on my lip.
