I also gained weight, work out 4-5 days a week and havent lost a pound. I am now having a vibrating or shaking feeling through out my body that is worse at night. I tried to stop taking it but that was worse.
Dwilson326 - I have this too! I thought I was getting Parkinson's or something. I want to stop taking it but I'm worried because I can't afford to gain anymore weight than I have. I don't know what to do.....
Frances1962 - hi my name is frances i have been on synthroid now for about 1 year before that i was on armour thyroid my doc does not approve of armour thyroid so he put me on synthroid now im on a very high dose its 175mcg and i feel horrible all the time i have hot flashes and vivid dreams and so much pain i cant hardley stand it and im losing my hair i had long hair now its falling out so much they had to cut my hair short and it still keeps falling out i feel like im going crazy and i always feel like there is a lump in my throat i choke all the time i think this drug is no good
Kim54 - Don't listen to your doctor. I have an Holistic doctor who immediately put me on Amour Thyroid and I am doing MUCH better. My hair isn't falling out anymore. I don't know about the lump in your throat and the hot flashes are most likely caused by low estrogen. He also has me on a natural estrogen called Biest. He had to up the dosage until all my symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats went away and it worked. I highly recommend seeing a holistic doctor. Good luck!
Kim54 - In addition - my holistic doctor said that Synthroid doesn't do anything for anyone. He is also an MD and has been for 25 years, working in the holistic area in addition to his practice for the past 10 years. He knows what he is talking about. He said that any prescription that is 'synthetic' is bad. Natural is always better!
