I have been on topiramate/topamax for about 3 year now 50 mg and I have decided that I am going to stop taking it right away. I have been experiencing stomach pain, heart palpitations, forgetfulness, sadness, gum disease, and a new thing that I haven't heard addressed. Rather than ringing in the ear when I lay down at night to sleep I hear something like a car motor running and it's driving me nuts. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hlpa - I have been on topomax for 2 months, and my gums started receeding BAD almost 2 weeks ago. Now I look like I have advanced stages of gum disease. I looked up the relationship online. Apparently many people have noticed their teeth falling out, gums messing up, etc while they are on topomax. The neurologist told me to get off it immediately. I did already. I'd rather have teeth. I can somehow deal with the headaches. Or, I can not have headaches but have NO teeth.
