    Best way to keep from getting the flushing side effect is do not eat or drink anything warm or hot. Only thing that has helped me is I take my niaspan with a bowl of applesauce and then drink a glass of water. I have tried eating other things but the - 34% more...

    The "no flush" version of Niaspan is nicotinamide. If it doesn't flush, it doesn't work. Nicotinamide does nothing for blood lipids, so there is no point in taking it. Stick with what the doctor prescribed. If you have questions or issues, - 53% more...
