Toprol Xl and Chest Pains

I have been taking toprol xl for 7 months and have had chest pains and rapid heart beat off and on. But the last month it is on a daily basis. I have had a gall bladder test, cat scan, ekg, heart ultrasound and echo tests. All test are normal. What could be causing this? Very frustrating, uncomfortable and scared.
