I have been on Warfarin for six weeks and my doctor and his nurse can't seem to get the INR right yet so I am on 11 mg. a day now. I am miserable. I get up in the morning and my eyes are blood shot and small and sticky. it does improve in a few hours but it is frightening. I am cold, dizzy, fatigued, nauseous, headaches and I am gaining weight. I am 300 pounds now. I want to stop the Warfarin but my doctor won't hear of it. would like more feedback here. I am a 68 year old breast cancer survivor and I feel "half dead" living like this. I am not myself. I think I would rather live in danger of having a stroke than to be half dead like this. There has to be a better way. Also, I am on Metoprolol and Synthroid and research I have been doing say that this may be the reason they can't get my INR to where it needs to be. I feel like stopping these pills cold turkey. No one seems to understand the frightening feeling of messing with one's eyes???? will I be blind next??? O.
