Welchol Liver Enzymes, Supossed

I took welchol for only one week. It was not supossed to affect the liver, but my Dr. had me do blodwork anyway. After 1 week of 3 plus three tablets a day, the Dr's office called and said to get off it. My liver enzymes had gone up. How is that possible?
