I was on 150 mg of Wellbutrin for about 2 years. During that time I tried to lose the weight I had gained during my years of depression. I started noticing within a few months severe hair loss and then a severe out break of Rosacea. During my consultations with various doctors that included an Internist, Psychiatrist, Dermatologist, and Ob-Gyn, none thought (never informed) that this was a possible side effect of Wellbutrin and would not be a contributing factor for either of these conditions. Since I was going thru menopause and losing weight everyone dismissed my analogy and attributed it to weight loss. I had lost weight MANY times before and NEVER lost hair like this. I have been off the Wellbutrin now for about 7 months and amazingly my hair is starting to come back and my Rosacea has calmed down dramatically.
Do not let anyone (including doctors) influence your decisions about your body. I'm still depressed and fat but at least not over a red face and bald head!!
