Bupropion SR 150 MG 7-31-2012 Complete Hair Loss
Hi I've been on the generic brand of Wellbutrin (Bupropion SR 150 MG) since 6/5/2012 for depression and stress. Ive never experienced hair loss ever in my life from anything meds or hair products. It's now August 1, 2012 and my hair is completely gone in the sense of having a boy haircut. I noticed my hair shedding during the months I started taking the pills but never connected losing my hair to this med. I have over active thyriods that fall right at the scale of boarder line which puts me at a rate where meds aren't needed. I've been taking those hair/nail/skin vitamin with no relief to my hair and have tried everything I could think of to stop the breakage. I'm a 41 yr old female with not many health issues aside from HBP, Depression and asthma. I normally where a close hair style something like Nia Long during the summertime. I got my first haircut in April 2012 then again yesterday 7/31/12 to see if that would stop my hair from falling out but it didn't. I came home that evening combed my hair and I literally saw my hair laying on the back of my head and neck. My mouth dropped to the floor as I stood in the mirror waiting my hair fall out as I combed it as well as looking at it in the comb and brush. I can agree with u that taking a shower gets crazy when u can't stand under the water without your hair going down the drain. So long story short I have to cut the rest of my hair like the back shaved part to blend it all in evenly. I feel like my 18 son with a fresh haircut I didn't ask for at all. But the instructions on the prescip bottle did say "3rd Trimester use may cause Heath issues" discuss with your doctor. HELL I HAVEN'T GOTTEN THROUGH THE 2nd TRIMESTER BEFORE SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES STARTED TAKING ALL OF MY %€^+#!~ HAIR OUT! Honey I'm sorry your going through this and hope you stopped taking the pills along with your hair growing back. Like they say what makes us weak can only make us stronger! (I think that's how it goes) WHATEVA ... more »

I'm looking into seeing if I can sue the company who make these meds because this is crazy. Why should I have to suffer from a product they created that's causing me extreme grief. I know just about everything has pros and cons but what's acceptable and/or unacceptable?
