Yasmin Ear Fullness, Sinus Infection, Cheekbone, Emergency Room, 4 Months

I just began using Yaz about 4 months ago and I have had the weirdest thing happen. I have massive headaches (never had them before) and this weird pain in me face (right about my right cheekbone) At first I thought it was a sinus infection.. Major pressure and headaches are easy to diagnose. Then when it didn't go away I got scared. An emergency room visit and a neurology appointment later (everything is "normal") I have decided it HAS to be the Yaz. I have also been having weird ear "fullness" Out of nowhere my ears will just pop like i'm going up a mountain...The took me off that and put me on Yasmin. Isn't it the Same pill? Anyway.. has anyone experienced similar symptoms? If so, how long did it take to go away? Thanks!!

Peachy67 - I had weird miscellaneous pains. But the most prevalant was the headaches that wouldn't go away with any pain medication I tried. Two days after I went off the pills-NO headache :)

Wsm - it is the strangest pain. It went from a sinus infection like pain to numbness in my right sinus. When i press it, it is very tender. I'm off the pill 3 days now (after my period) and the numbness is still there. I do have headaches still and my jaw is so stiff. The only thing i can relate this to is the pill!!! I hate this and I wish it would all just go away. I'm not being very patient, but i was only on it for 4 months!!! It should go away!

Ky00 - I have had the weird ear "popping" too - I thought it was because of stress...it started after about 3 months of taking Yasmine. It feels like my ear is blocked, and if I move my head certain ways it will stop. I've been extremely depressed and tired lately, and have found no medical basis for this on blood tests. The only medication I take is Yasmine, and I wondered today if it could be influencing my current health problems.

Aftergldrush - I am experiencing the same strange pain right behind my right cheekbone along with the fullness in my ear. I too thought I had sinus indections. I even had an MRI of my sinuses, which was normal. My doctor thought I may be experiencing recurring headaches and put me on a preventitive medication, but that had no effect. No matter what I do, I cann ot get the pain to go away. I decided to stop YAz on my own. I have been taking it for 8 months. The pain in my face is just one of many symptoms. I also have not had a period since March. I am extremely bloated and have gained weight. I have been experiencing gall bladder like symptoms, some severe enough for an emergency trip, but tests come back normal. I have a recurring severe pain in mymlower left side under my rib cage. X-rays show nothing, but pain continues. Today was my first day off the pill. I am hoping for some positive changes soon.
